Game Goes Down To The Wire As Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U Loses To Deshler Tigers 10U On Final Play (10u April 5th, 2025)

Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U fell to Deshler Tigers 10U 15-14 on Saturday on the final play of the game. Deshler Tigers 10U were down 14-13 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Carver B doubled, scoring two runs.
Despite the loss, Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U did collect 14 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Deshler Tigers 10U had 12 hits on the way to victory.
Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Aiden O singled, scoring one run, and Nolan N homered to right field, scoring two runs.
Deshler Tigers 10U captured the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the first when Carver doubled, scoring one run, Mason K grounded out, scoring one run, and Issiah S doubled, scoring two runs.
Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U scored on a wild pitch, which helped Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U tie the game at four in the top of the second.
Deshler Tigers 10U took the lead in the bottom of the second. Cole P doubled, scoring two runs, to give Deshler Tigers 10U the upper hand, 6-4.
Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U tied the game in the top of the third thanks to a double by Cooper B, and a ground out by Gunner C.
Deshler Tigers 10U took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Asher B singled, scoring one run, to give Deshler Tigers 10U the lead, 7-6.
Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U jumped back into the lead in the top of the fifth inning after Charlie F homered to center field, and Cooper tripled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
Preston M stole home, which helped Deshler Tigers 10U tie the game at eight in the bottom of the fifth.
In the top of the sixth, Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U broke up the tie when Aiden doubled, scoring one run. Then a single by Nolan followed to extend the lead to 10-8.
A single by Charlie gave Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U the lead, 11-10, in the top of the seventh.
Asher walked, which helped Deshler Tigers 10U tie the game at 11 in the bottom of the seventh.
In the top of the eighth inning, Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U went back into the lead after Aidyn G walked, Gunner singled to center field, and Asher H stole home, each scoring one run.
Deshler Tigers 10U took the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning after Preston doubled down the right field line, and Carver doubled down the left field line, each scoring two runs.
Nolan pitched four and one-third innings in relief for Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U. The left-handed pitcher allowed five hits and two runs while, striking out seven and walking one. Gunner stepped on the hill first for Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and six runs over two innings, striking out three and walking two. Cooper F stepped on the hill first for Deshler Tigers 10U. The southpaw surrendered three hits and three runs over one inning, striking out two and walking none.
Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U accumulated 14 hits in the game. Nolan drove the middle of the lineup, leading Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U with three runs batted in. The shortstop went 2-for-3 on the day. Jonathan B, Gunner, Cooper, Charlie, Nolan, and Aiden each collected two hits for Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U. Jonathan stole two bases. Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game. Outlaws 10u (Boaz) 10U turned one double play in the game.
Deshler Tigers 10U amassed 12 hits in the game. Carver provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Deshler Tigers 10U with three runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-4 on the day. Kyan B, Carver, Cooper, and Preston each collected two hits for Deshler Tigers 10U. Elijah A, Asher, Cooper, and Preston each stole multiple bases for Deshler Tigers 10U. Deshler Tigers 10U stole 15 bases in the game. Deshler Tigers 10U were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Carver made the most plays with 12.
